Dave Rodriguez

A native of the Chicago area, Dave Rodriguez moved to Denver, Colorado in 1996 to pursue a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Denver.

 

Coach Rodriguez is entering his 7th year as the head coach of the successful Castle View High School softball program where they have advanced to the postseason 4 out of 6 seasons and have reached the state tournament 2 out of the last 4 years.  His players have won numerous All Continental League, CHSAA All State, CHSAA Academic All State, & DCSD honors & recognition.    Coach Rodriguez has been a coach with the varsity & sophomore levels of the Castle View baseball program for 8 years.  Prior to arriving at Castle View, he was on the coaching staff with the 5A State Champion Cherokee Trail Cougars. 

 

Coach Rodriguez is a 10 year travel ball coaching veteran and has lead his teams to numerous top 5 & top 10 finishes at the national level as well as assisted many players to achieve their goals of playing collegiate softball.

 

He is interested in developing the whole person which includes; fundamental skills relevant for winning games, a competitive spirit and most importantly good sportsmanship & scholarship.

 

Dave Rodriguez has been married to Kelly for 23 years and they have two children, Jack, 21 and Alex, 18.  When he’s not coaching, you can find him enjoying time with his family, playing golf, fishing, or watching sports.  His family resides in Castle Rock, CO.
